How to Apply

Please read the instructions carefully and ensure that you meet the admission requirements (click here to see requirements) before applying.

1.    Please ensure that you provide your correct personal email, Mobile Number, postal address and Next of Kin contacts to enable the University of Embu to contact you with ease.

2.    You application will be deemed complete once you have provided the following:

  1. Duly filled in application form
  2. Attach evidence of payment (original copy of the fee deposit slip or Confirmation message of M-pesa payment)
  3. Copies of academic credentials i.e. KCSE Result slip, transcripts, certificates
  4. Copy of National Identity Card/ Birth Certificate; and
  5. Two good quality passport photographs.

Step 2: Make the payment either directly to the bank or by M-pesa

Payment for application constitutes of a non-refundable application fee of Kshs 2,000 (Degree), KShs 1,000 (Diploma), KShs 500 (Certificate) and KShs 300 (Short course) for East Africans and USD 50 (Degree), USD 25 (Diploma), USD 15 (Certificate) and USD 10 (Short course) or its equivalent for Non East Africans. Applicants are cautioned against sending money to any person who claims to offer them help. All payments should be made through one of the following payment options:

Option A (Directly to the bank)

Application fees and University fees should be paid to the following University of Embu Account Numbers.

Option B (M-pesa)

The University, in an effort to provide an efficient and convenient fee collection service, has opened a Pay-bill Account Number 418888 with Safaricom Kenya Limited for fee collection purposes only. This is in addition to the various banks accounts currently in use and is aimed to improve service delivery.

To make payment through this account, you are required to follow the following easy steps:

  1. Go to Mpesa Menu.
  2. Select Lipa na Mpesa.
  3. Select Paybill.
  4. Select Enter Business Number.
  5. Enter the Business Number as 418888.
  6. Select Account Number.
  7. Enter your name in full, as the account number
  8. Enter the amount you intend to pay.
  9. Enter your secret Mpesa PIN.
  10. Confirm the Pay bill Account number and the Amount, then press ok.

Note:

  1. For each payment done, Safaricom sends you a confirmation message.
  2. Do not delete the confirmation message until after you are issued with an official University receipt by the Student Finance Officer

Step 3: Submit the dully filled in application form with the original copy of the application fee payment deposit slip/ M-pesa confirmation code to the Admissions Office or send to the following address:
