Admissions to the University

1. It is the responsibility of the University to hold out to all persons, whatever their race, opinion, colour, creed, or sex, the opportunity of acquiring higher education. For the purpose of discharging this responsibility, it is the duty of the University, so far as its resources permit, to make its educational facilities available on the proper terms to such persons as are equipped to benefit from the use of these facilities. The admissions procedures of the University are guided by this policy.
2. A basic innovation being adopted is that applicants to the University shall be admitted on the basis of their performance in suitable subjects and at acceptable standards in the ‘O’ level examinations. Additionally, the in-service applicants should have the relevant qualification to the degree being applied for. This decision is to enable the students to perform satisfactorily in their internal examinations.
3. A person wishing to be admitted to The Pamodzi University for any undergraduate degree, or for a diploma or certificate programme, should apply in the first instance to the Registrar.
4. Applications should be made on the proper forms which can be obtained from the Admission Office or from the website at certain times of the year. Advertisements in the national press will state when these forms are available, but forms needed when applying for admission to undergraduate programmes as a student shall usually be available in the months of proceeding the academic year. Would-be applicants who are in their final year in secondary school may either apply to the University for application forms or may apply using such forms from their school authorities to whom the University will have sent them.
