KUCCPS was established to coordinate the placement of Government-sponsored students to Kenyan universities and colleges; develop and implement career guidance programmes; disseminate information on available programmes; and collect and retain data relating to university and college placement, among other functions. KUCCPS is the Government of Kenya body that undertakes the selection of students for admission to higher learning institutions for Government sponsorship.
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service is established under the Universities Act, 2012.

Steps for Paying your KUCCPS Application/Revision Fee
- Go to your Lipa na M-PESA Menu
- Select Pay Bill
- Enter Business Number 820251
- For the Account Number, enter your KCSE Year and KCSE Index Number (no space)
- Enter your M-PESA PIN and Send.
After sending, you will receive two payment confirmation messages. One SMS from Mpesa and another one from KUCCPS. On receipt of the KUCCPS confirmation, continue with your Application Process.
If the KUCCPS message is pending, you can still continue with the Mpesa code that you received when you made the payment. Give the system several hours to pick up the payment if you are receiving error messages.
