About Victoria Falls University

Registered under the Zambian Ministry of Education Act of 1999, Victoria Falls University of Technology (VFU), the country’s first private science university was opened in livingstone, Zambia in January 2010. The university was founded to fill the growing need for science and technology skills in the country and to help strengthen the national economy. The development’s of VFU coincides with the government’s focus on science , technology and innovation as the driving forces in national development.

The University operates as an entrepreneurial higher learning institution as it continues to establish multiple funding avenues to compliment tuition fees and finance its primary mandate of creating knowledge through research, disseminating the results and applying the knowledge gained from that research. Notable entrepreneurial achievements include the establishment partnership agreements with reputable international companies and universities.

The Victoria Falls University of Technology is a unique university in terms of its philosophy, vision, mission and values. The Victoria Falls University of Technology, located within 300 kilometres radius of the city of Livingstone. Its physical address is Plot number 2621 Nakatindi Road, on property leased from the Government of the Republic of Zambia for a period of (50) fifty years and renewable.

Admission Requirements for Victoria Falls University

Diplomas

Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) Ordinary Levels including English and Mathematics.

Professional Certificates

Undergraduate Degree

Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) Ordinary Levels including English and Mathematics.

Educational Course: Teacher’s Professional Qualification will be considered.

Professional Course: Relevant Professional Qualification will be considered.

Postgraduate

Educational Course: Teacher’s Professional Qualification will be considered.

Professional Course: Relevant Professional Qualification will be considered.

Distance Learning

Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) Ordinary Levels including English and Mathematics.

ZICA Minimum Entry Requirements

Knowledge Level

Direct entry: Grade 12 School Certificate or it’s equivalent with five (5) merits, or better including Mathematics and English.

Application Level

Recognised Accounting Technician Qualification or Diploma in Accountancy or any other relevant qualification approved by the Institute.

Advisory Level

Recognised degree in accountancy or other recognised professional accounting qualifications.
