Registered under the Zambian Ministry of Education Act of 1999, Victoria Falls University of Technology (VFU), the country’s first private science university was opened in livingstone, Zambia in January 2010. The university was founded to fill the growing need for science and technology skills in the country and to help strengthen the national economy. The development’s of VFU coincides with the government’s focus on science , technology and innovation as the driving forces in national development.
The University operates as an entrepreneurial higher learning institution as it continues to establish multiple funding avenues to compliment tuition fees and finance its primary mandate of creating knowledge through research, disseminating the results and applying the knowledge gained from that research. Notable entrepreneurial achievements include the establishment partnership agreements with reputable international companies and universities.
The Victoria Falls University of Technology is a unique university in terms of its philosophy, vision, mission and values. It is led by men and women with a great determination to make a difference in the lives of our youth and with a great intellect to innovate in response to the demands of our information age. The Victoria Falls University of Technology, located within 300 kilometres radius of the city of Livingstone. Its physical address is Plot number 2621 Nakatindi Road, on property leased from the Government of the Republic of Zambia for a period of (50) fifty years and renewable.
