The management of Bindura University wish to invite prospective student to apply for Occupational Health and Safety Course offered at the Polytechnic.

The Occupational Health and Safety Course is offered under the department and among other various courses. See Also: Bindura University Intake.

Qualifications:
Applications should hold a PhD in Occupational Health and Safety. A Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field with at least a merit, and a first degree in an Environmental Science-related field are a must.

Experience:
Applicants must have a minimum of two years university teaching experience. Proven record of publications and the ability to mobilise funds will be added advantages. The curriculum vitae (CV) should contain a detailed list of publications; clearly specifying titles of publications, journal names, volumes, page numbers details, dates published, name(s) of publishers and of co-authors if any. Publications should be categorised into: books, monographs, refereed and non-referred journals, chapters in books, etc.

Responsibilities:
Applicants must be able to teach at least four (4) courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels to both conventional and block students from the following: Ergonomics; Occupational Hygiene & Toxicology; Safety, Health and Environmental Auditing; Occupational Health & Safety Legislation; Safety, Health & Risk Management, and Occupational Health & Safety Education. The department reserves the right to allocate courses for teaching.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide academic leadership to the department, initiate, guide and contribute basic and applied research. Successful applicants must be able to supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate students in their fields of specialisation, conduct collaborative research, and be involved in university service and community engagement.
