Copperstone University was established in 2004, through company incorporation, with the primary objective of fostering quality and solid higher education to Zambians and the world at large.

It is founded on the strong premise of the “Copper – Stone” principle – a stone that lays a solid foundation to Zambian‟s development and a backbone to the country‟s economy.

So the name “Copperstone” is steeped in the historical aspects of this country and it becomes the first institutionalised named to be coined in this fashion.
