The school admitted her 110 pioneer students for the Bachelor of Education Science in September 2014. The school aspires to produce innovative and quality science teachers in order to enhance modern ways of disseminating knowledge. The student population is currently 480. Students specialise in science education with the following subject combinations: Mathematics/Physics, Mathematics/Chemistry, Physics/Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, Mathematics/Agriculture, Mathematics/Computer studies, Chemistry/Biology and Biology/Agriculture.

POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
PROGRAMME	ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Doctor of Philosophy In Education (Ph.D. in Education)	Master Degree in Education or its equivalent from a recognized University.
Duration: 3 years Mode of Study: Part-time/Weekend Campus: Main Campus (Nchiru) Tuition fees per semester: Ksh. 105,000
Master of Education in Planning and Economics (M.ED P & E)	Bachelor of education (Science) or Bachelor of Education (Arts) or Bachelor of Agricultural Education and Extension with: Second Class Honours (Upper Division) or Second Class Honours (Lower Division) with at least two years’ experience OR; Credit in Post graduate Diploma in Education.
Master of Education in Management and Leadership (M.ED Mgt & L)
Duration: 4 semesters Mode of Study: Part-time/Weekend Campus: Main Campus (Nchiru) Tuition fees per semester: Ksh. 60,000
Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)	A Bachelor’s degree with two teaching subjects with at least (12 units in each subject reflecting secondary school curriculum content).

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
PROGRAMME	ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Education (Science)	Mean grade of C+ (plus) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E), and a C (plain) in English/Kiswahili. In addition, one should have at least a C+ (plus) in the two teaching subjects namely: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture. NB: Those wishing to take Agriculture /Computer studies must have C+ (plus) in Biology and Mathematics respectively.
Bachelor of Education (Arts)	Mean grade of C+ (plus) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E), and a C (plain) in English/Kiswahili. In addition, one should have at least a C+ (plus) in the two teaching subjects namely: English, Literature, (Grade for English is considered here) Mathematics, Geography, History, CRE, Business Studies, Computer Studies, Physical and Health Education (PE), Music. *NB: Those wishing to take Business studies/Computer studies must have C+ (plus) in Mathematics.*
Bachelor of Education Technology (Civil Engineering)	Be a holder of K.C.S.E mean grade of C+ (plus) and above, with a C+ (plus) in Mathematics, Physics/Physical Science and Chemistry; OR; Be a holder of KACE with at least 2 Principal passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and 1 subsidiary pass; OR; Be a holder of a Degree in related disciplines from an institution recognized by Meru University of Science and Technology Senate. OR; Be a holder of a Validated Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Plant Engineering OR; Have any other relevant qualifications deemed equivalent to the above requirements from an institution recognized by the Meru University of Science and Technology Senate.

Bachelor of Communication and Journalism	Be a holder of K.C.S.E (or equivalent examination) with a minimum aggregate of C+ (plus) and a minimum of C (plain) in English, OR; Be a holder of K.A.C.E certificate with a minimum of two principal passes, two subsidiaries and a minimum of a credit pass in English at K.C.E OR; Be holder of Diploma in Communication or Journalism from an institution recognized by the University Senate. Those with Credit pass or Distinction may be admitted in the second year of study.
