The School of Nursing was established in October 2016 and opened its doors to the first group of students in January 2017 after accreditation by the Nursing Council of Kenya. Our vision is to become a centre of excellence in nursing education, research and clinical practice in the region and globally.

The School provides holistic ethical education to nursing students to acquire intellectual knowledge and skills with the right attitudes and competencies relevant to meet the health care needs of the Kenyan population and future generations. The graduates will be mentored to effectively contribute to the achievement of improved quality of health services to the highest standards as envisioned in Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and will further contribute to the promotion of sustainable health benefits and development of the nursing profession.

The school has four departments headed by one chairperson: Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, Department of Midwifery, Department of Community Health and Department of Leadership and Management. The School of Nursing strongly believes in ethical practice and that our graduates will serve their clients with humility, compassion and honesty in the diverse environments where they will practice.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science (Nursing)
Have a Minimum of C+ (plus) in K.C.S.E with a minimum of C+ (plus) in each of the following cluster subjects:
Mathematics or Physics, English or Kiswahili, Chemistry, Biology/Biological Science.
Bachelor of Science in Health Systems Management
Be a holder of K.C.S.E with an aggregate of C+ (plus) and C (plain) in Biology and both Mathematics and English/Kiswahili OR; Holder of a Diploma in Health Records or Information Systems from K.N.E.C or its equivalent.
Duration: 12 semesters Mode of Study: Full-time Campus: Main Campus (Nchiru)
Tuition fees per semester: Ksh. 50,000
