UNIT/COURSE/EXAM REGISTRATION FOR ALL STUDENTS:

FULL LIST OF REQUIREMENTS:

Pay your semester fees in full. You will not be allowed to sit for end of semester examinations without completing the semester fees.

You need to access the internet and navigate to the student portal.

www.student.tmuc.ac.ke

Your admission number is your user name and your password only the first time you log into the students portal. Preferably use capital letters (CAPS LOCK ON) when typing in the user name and password.

The first time you log in, you will be prompted to change your password. You will type a new password twice into the two textboxes shown. Then click on the Change Password Button. Then the server will immediately effect the password change and require you to log in using the newly set password.

Once you are logged in, click on the ACADEMICS TAB on the left side of the portal, and click on the course/UNIT REGISTRATION link.

If your course units/subjects are displayed on the screen, you need to tick them by clicking the box next to each unit. Then click on the “SELECT UNITS” button at the bottom of the page. Click OK to confirm.

The units you ticked will be displayed together. To register them, click on the “SUBMIT UNITS” button and Click OK to confirm. The ticked/selected units are now registered. If you have no outstanding fee balance (You have paid all your semester fees), then you can view and print out your EXAMINATION CARD. Click on the ACADEMICS TAB on the left side of the portal; Click EXAM CARD and wait briefly. The server will generate your examination card.

You can print out your examination card on an A4 paper or stiff paper or card of your choice. Make sure to take the document to the Examination Officer for stamping, or else your EXAM CARD document will be invalid.

Take note that, if you lose your Exam Card document, restamping it will attract a fine of Kshs. 100/=. The money is to be deposited into the Tom Mboya University College account. It is the same account you paid University fees into.

You have to take the pay-in-slip to the Student Finance officer and the Examination Officer before your reprinted Examination Card document can be stamped. We advise that you only print the exam card as the end of the semester is approaching. Keep your Exam Card safe.
