UCC Admission Instructions for 2024

WASSCE/SSSCE/ADVANCED LEVEL/MATURE/ABCE/GBCE AND IB CANDIDATES

It is announced for the information of prospective Applicants (as specified above) and the general public that application e-vouchers to Degree/Top-Up programmes of study at the University for the 2024/25 Academic Year are now on sale.

Admission into Undergraduate Programmes for the 2025/2026 Academic Year 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for admission into undergraduate programmes of the University of Cape Coast for the 2025/2026 academic year. Persons who will be writing WASSCE this year (AWAITING 2024 WASSCE RESULTS) can also apply. Applicants are to buy scratch cards which will enable them to apply online.  The scratch cards are up for sale at the Centres listed below:

Cost of Scratch Cards

Post-SSSCE/WASSCE        –    GH¢220.00

Post-Diploma                      –    GH¢230.00

International Applicants     –    USD$120.00

International applicants and Ghanaian applicants abroad can make payment by VISA Card and have their Scratch Card PIN sent to their e-mail addresses to enable them to complete their applications online.

The deadlines for the sale of Application scratch cards and the submission of completed application forms will end on May, 2024

Applicants should visit www.ucc.edu.gh then go to Admissions and click on Apply Now for further instructions. Alternatively, applicants should visit https://apply.ucc.edu.gh and proceed with the application.

All applicants are required to provide the following information at the back of the large EMS envelope: (a) application reference number  (b) full name (c) postal address (d) first choice programme and (e) application category which should be one of the following: SSSCE/WASSCE or Post-Diploma or Post First Degree or OTHER (to be specified by applicant).

Applicants are advised to read application instructions as well as the contents of the admissions brochure very carefully before completing the online application form.  Applications on which Application Reference Numbers  are not indicated will not be processed.

EMS Post Paid Envelopes  – Applicants should insist on the collection of EMS Post Paid Envelopes from the sales point. The deadlines for the sale of application e-vouchers is on May ,2024. And the submission of completed application forms will be on June, 2024.

 Online Application 

Applicants should visit http://apply.ucc.edu.gh/ for further instructions. Applicants should select Click to apply for programme and select Undergraduate entry  under verify voucher  to proceed. Applicants should select the Mature application type.

All applicants are required to provide the following information at the back of the large EMS envelope:

(a) Application reference number

(b) Names in full – no abbreviations accepted

(c) Postal address

(d) First choice programme and

(e) Application category which should be MATURE.

Applicants are required  to go through the application instructions thoroughly as well as the contents of the admissions brochure/prospectus very carefully before completing the online application form. Applicants  should do well to verify their SSSCE/WASSCE results.  Applications on which APPLICATION REFERENCE NUMBERS are not indicated will not be processed.

Placement of Successful Applicants

Successful applicants will, on admission, be placed at Level 100 of their respective programmes of choice.

Submission of completed Online Application Forms 

(a)      Copies of completed online application forms (confirmation pages) accompanied by photocopies of results slip(s), birth certificate, payment slips or receipts, transcripts (where applicable) and other relevant documents should be sent by post and not delivered by hand. completed online application forms should reach the Director, Directorate of Academic Affairs (DAA),  Applicants are to ensure that copies of the application forms are posted early enough to be received before the deadline for submission as forms received after the deadline will not be processed.

(b)    No additional documents will be accepted after submission of completed application forms.    Applicants are to note that only photocopies of certificates or result slips (not returnable) should accompany completed forms. Original certificates/result slips of applicants offered admission will be inspected before registration.

A change of programme after the submission of application form would NOT be entertained. Programmes Available for 2024/25 Academic Year
