STRUCTURE OF DIVISION

The Division is composed of two Departments namely;

Valuation & Estate Management (part time only)

Entry Requirements:

Applicants must have 5 “O” level passes including English Language Mathematics and a Science subject for all the courses except where Mathematics is not required

Duration of National Certificate courses

The duration of full time courses a to f is one year.
The duration of all part-time courses is two(2) years
The duration of courses h to l is three years.

Entry requirements:

Applicants must have a National Certificate in the relevant discipline.

Duration of National Diploma courses

Students attend two years on full time basis at Bulawayo Polytechnic and go for industrial attachment for one year (Total duration = 3 years)

Higher National Diploma (HEXCO)

Civil Engineering
Water Resources Engineering
Surveying & Geometrics.

Entry Requirements:

Applicants must have a National Diploma in the relevant discipline.

Duration of Higher National Diploma courses

The duration of full time courses is one yearT

Adult Skills (empowerment) courses

Site surveying (stages 1&2)
Building plan drawing (stage 1&2)
Construction supervision
AutoCAD ( stage 2)
Basic Estimation of Quantities
Basic Brick laying Skills (stage 1&2)
Basic Plumbing (stage 1&2)
Basic carpentry and joinery (stage 1&2)

General Requirements

To be awarded a certificate at all levels given above; a candidate must achieve a minimum of 85% class attendance and pass both coursework and final examination on the relevant subjects as per the course regulation.

Award

A certificate of attendance or certificate of competency is awarded to successful candidates by Bulawayo Polytechnic.
