The management of the Great Zimbabwe University has released the names of graduands in Great Zimbabwe University for the 2025 academic session. See Also: Great Zimbabwe University Graduation List.
Graduation is the successful completion of a course of study at a university, college, or school, for which you receive a degree or diploma.
The ceremony is held annually, usually in September/October. Each year, the Great Zimbabwe University confers over 2500 students with internationally recognized First Degrees, Masters and Doctoral qualifications. Graduation is the culmination of 2 to 5 years of hard work and is certainly the high point of a student’s life.
The ceremony is officiated by the Chancellor of Great Zimbabwe University, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe.
After qualifying for graduation, each graduate is issued with a Great Zimbabwe University degree certificate and transcript. Graduands are required to clear all outstanding fees and pay a graduation fee of US$75.00 which covers the following:
- academic regalia and,
- transcript and certificate issued on graduation day
Relevant Information i.e date, time and venue are availed to graduands on the university website.
Date and Venue
- All graduating Students (the November and June classes) are hereby advised that the Graduation Ceremony has been tentatively scheduled for Friday October.
- The ceremony will be held at the University’s Main Campus Sports Arena.
- Graduands and their guests are supposed to be seated by 0900hrs. Graduands who arrive late will not be allowed into the Graduation Ceremony Venue.
Rehearsals
- Graduation rehearsals are tentatively scheduled for Thursday the of October starting at 1400hrs at the University’s Main Campus Sports Arena.
- Attendance for rehearsals is compulsory and graduands who do not attend rehearsals will not be allowed to take part in the graduation proceedings.
Graduands and Guests Invitation Cards
- Each graduand will be allowed to bring a maximum of two (2) guests.
- Graduands will collect their invitation cards from their respective Schools upon production of proof of payment for graduation fees.
Outstanding Tuition Fees and Graduation Fees
- Graduands with outstanding tuition fees are advised to clear the balances with the Bursar’s Office and pay the Graduation Fee of US$40 so as to be able to graduate and be included in the graduation booklet. The deadline for the payment of the Graduation Fees is the 14th of October .
- Graduands are further advised that Graduation Fees would only be accepted from those who do not have outstanding tuition fees balances.
- Please take note that Graduation Fees can be paid in cash at the Bursar’s department or deposited into any of the following University Bank Accounts:

- To avoid inconveniences, payment through RTGS should be made before 30 September and copies of same must be submitted to the Assistant Bursar’ (Accounts) for easy of updating students’ records.
